Hannah and I were chatting the other day about something she made in preschool. It is a place mat with leaves all over and written at the top is "I am thankful for..." Her teacher wrote in each leaf something that Hannah is thankful for:"My friends"
"My parents"
"My toys"
As I pulled this out of her book bag, I said to her "Hannah, this is so pretty! Did you tell your teacher what you are thankful for so that she could write it on your place mat?"
She proudly replied, "Yes. I am helpful for my family. I am helpful for my toys. And I am helpful for my friends."
Helpful and thankful. Could a parent ask for anything more?
